Although a lot of people associate doctors with hefty bills, or unpleasant experiences, the truth is that it can be one of the best preventative measures that you take when you are over 60. Visiting the doctor at least once a year can decrease your chances of developing an irreversible condition. By visiting the doctor often, you can catch things early on, and take action before things go too far to be fixed. 

A regular checkup is well worth scheduling a little time for once a year when you compare it to developing a serious disease that could be life-threatening at your age.

Although the majority of your nutrients can be found in a healthy diet, it doesn’t hurt to take extra vitamins on the side. Talk to your doctor about additional supplements that could benefit your specific health concerns. Something as simple as a daily multivitamin can play a huge role in your overall health.
